A Melipilus Gigantes disease has attacked this Beech Tree

Diseased tree must be felled

The disease in this picture is called Meripilus Giganteus. It attacks the root system of the tree, making beech trees very unstable due to their shallow roots. Sadly, the tree had to be cut down and disposed of in order to prevent the spread of the disease.
